It seems everyone's pitched in to do their best...it's good to see.

[It was always possible, given the diverse range of people here, they all could've been a bunch of scoundrels. Seeing most of them helping out is reassuring to say the least.

[She does need rest herself, but she's inwardly saying this is for Cyrus, not her. She'd rather fight till she died of exhaustion.]

Well met; my name is Gwendolyn. T'is perhaps unfavourable, but I've seen many battlefields in my lifetime-[And she looks pretty young.]-so I can say it's far from the worst meeting I have had.

The prismal is very grateful and thanks them both, before deciding to head off by themselves to group up with the other evacuees. They insist it isn't far, so they should be fine.

These vines are fairly insidious. Even dealing with them takes its toll, as you can see.

Trading with their neighbors would make sense...

[Sandalphon hadn't considered it, accustomed as he is to all islands sharing the same sky. This place is something else altogether, what with travel to and from the moon. How it works remains a mystery to him]

They seem capable of traveling much further than I thought possible.

[While Cyrus would gladly continue on, with the area being relatively safe at the moment she figures rest is in order. She won't be at 100% if she keeps fighting these plants like this and it'd be shame if she got caught up in one.

Then that only causes trouble for others.

So without much thought, she finds a places on the ground and sits down there to catch her breath and hopefully get some energy back.]

[Well, that makes one part of this easier, at least, and Ren waves cheerily to the prismal as they head off. There is still the risk of vines and poison, but considering Ren's been out here by himself with no weapons on and off for a while, he's confident enough that someone who's reasonably aware can make it back without much trouble.

At Gwendolyn's question, he tilts his head slightly, looking over the vicinity.] I've seen a bit of it, but I came from that direction-- [He points back over his shoulder, where there's a lot of shredded vines from others having come through, then points forward.] --and I was heading that way, so I haven't finished the whole thing yet. Have you seen anyone while you've been fighting around here?

[He might as well get that out of the way, if it turns out she's spotted someone who could use help in an area he hasn't gotten to yet.]

O-Oh, nothing. My focus seems to be quite off lately. Possibly from adjusting to our new setting.

[He throws out probably the lamest excuse he can think of off the top of his head. His face turns a bit red after getting called out, though.]

Hijikata-san was the Vice Commander of the Shinsengumi! He was a really great man. [He knows by now that people have come from all different types of worlds but if there's a chance to talk about his former master then he will. Even if she probably has no idea what he's talking about.]

I guess you could kind of call me that? I guess a sword could be a vassal. Sounds pretty good so yeah. I was his vassal!

[Eating them in excess, that is. After inspecting for one last moment, he finally decides to pop the cute lil' piece into his avatar's mouth. While still chewing it, Soundwave tells his verdict. He got no manners, but his words are still eligible to the ears at least.]

Hm, sweet... and smooth. The taste is... unique? I'm not sure how else to describe it. Marshmallow, was it... I never had anything like it.

I've found much of the food here is prepared in very unique ways; it makes even pooka cuisine look simple by comparison.

[And it's anything but. You won't find food better prepared in Erion than by visiting the pooka village.]

The results do speak for themselves, though...everything's very good.

...are you sure? Perhaps you ought to sit down for a moment. I understand this is all overwhelming...

[She's sure she saw a bench around here somewhere...she's looking for it now, too.]

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I've been so focused on fighting I haven't been properly looking...there's no end to these vines.

[When you're doing cool backflips and throwing ice magic all over the place, it's easy to forget about having to rescue people. Especially since other people are handling it...like Ren, even.

But he's right in his priorities; what's the use in fighting off the vines if there's noone left to protect?]

But from this point forward, I'm going to make it top priority. Shall we search together?

Their technology certainly is impressive...in my homeland, dwarven airships can carry large numbers of people quite a fair distance through the sky. It's considered extremely advanced.

But here, traveling from world to world...it makes it all seem so small in comparison.

[She had no idea everything above the sky was so vast. That it can be navigated as if it were simply another ocean to travel is...a bit much.]

...couldn't an apothecary simply concoct something to combat it? I know many kinds of plants that cause irritation, but few have no remedy.

[That's generally how it works. Even if the plant is brand new to the area...well, whatever science does. She's no medicine woman, she's a soldier. She doesn't ask how it works, she just follows potion recipes to alcehemize them.]

[It's honestly a little surprising to have fire in her corner for once; Gungnir's element has always been ice, and she's been on the opposite end of graveryl's ability to control flames, so seeing it come from her own weapon is unusual...that being said, it isn't unwelcome by any means. Freezing and shattering vines works, but being able to simply cut them to pieces and burn through them simultaneously is far more efficient. She's really making use of it.

And while she did promise to stay by Hakuno's side, she isn't...exactly staying stationary either. It's likely out of habit considering she's an extremely agile fighter usually, so there's a lot of jumps and flips, even if they're a bit more restrained so she's close enough distance to step in for Hakuno's sake if she has to. Her strategy's basically to ensure the vines don't get within a certain distance to her handy support unit before she extends a bit into the fray.

Hopefully Hakuno's holding up too.]

[Hakuno is doing her best, which isn't something to shake a stick at.

She has to be mindful of her limitations here; she can't just summon up a defensive unit of Attack Programs and Aggressors, unfortunately, so instead she falls back on pre-Sovereign habits and tenets. Namelely: never stray from the fighting party, always keep a sharp eye out for misdirected strikes and rebound damage, and never get in the way.

She imagines it's like riding a bike, if she actually knew how to ride one.

She shifts with the tide of Gwendolyn's battle, keeping herself in the peripheral and keeping her own peripheral peeled for any sudden flashes of been. She's had to dodge a handful, as her partner fights, but so far it's all good.]]

And not only your clothes, but your hair's so pretty! Seeing them getting dirty feels super bad. It must be take you a long time to comb it and take care of it.
